Manifesto to act against the economic crisis

Ms Nuria Vilanova, a Spanish entrepreneur, founder and Chairman of the largest Communication and PR company in Spain, Inforpress, has published a more than interesting book: “Act against the crisis”
The book mixes good analysis with excellent edition. It is fresh air in the middle of a negative economic mood.
Based on more than one hundred cases of executives and companies with their ideas implemented during this crisis, the Author comes up with a Manifest pushing for action, with 10+1 principles:
- We know there are opportunities in every market
- We all can act against the crisis, starting with our own speech instead of repeating what has already being said by others
- We need to create a positive mood by sharing those decisions that took us to small or great successes
- We have the same key for success, it is independent of the economic cycle: differentiate, innovate, look (even harder) for new opportunities and believe in your team and your company
- We have to think harder on how to adapt our products & services to help our clients, more than ever
- We are not alone, we have allies: our team, our clients, other companies…
- Our values are more relevant than ever. It is the time to check whether we have a compromise with them or whether we were just following the river
- We have to change. Do not fix yourself or your team on the same goals nor on the same habits
- We have to embrace change as an objective, not as a strategy
- We are not going through the first crisis that ever happened. Remember, we have been here and surpassed many obstacles in the past
- The Manifest has a one summary sentence: Communicate, Share, Build Confidence. This is the time, more than ever, to join efforts, to pinpoint the road and to reassure our vision
It is the time to embrace them and act
